Age-Old Treatments

Acupuncture and moxibustion are two of the techniques used in Oriental medicine to improve health by stimulating the meridian points, through which the body's vital energy, known as chi, is believed to flow.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of needles at these points, and has been shown to provide pain relief and alleviate nausea caused by chermotherapy. Moxibustion stimulates blood flow along the meridian by warming the points and is used to treat many ailments, including fever and muscle weakness.
Both treatments have been around for thousands of years and remain popular around the world, including in Indonesia.
