Fifteen Seconds of Fame

Every day, you catch glimpses of hundreds of them in movie scenes, TV shows and ads. Once in a while, they even get to speak a line. Extras, the anonymous background characters whose presence fleshes out a scene, must often arrive at a set early and stay until late. Usualy working for as little as Rp 25.000 to Rp 100.000 a day, some see their job as stepping stone to stardom, while others are grateful to simply appear on screen.
