The annual Tour de Singkarak cycling race features seven stages over 1,173 kilometers, passing through nine regencies and seven cities in West Sumatra, Indonesia. It started in Bukittinggi last Sunday and ends in Padang this Sunday. A total of 220 riders from six Indonesian and 15 foreign teams are competing in this fifth event for its Rp 1.2 billion ($123,000) prize purse.
